Step 1: Dawncaster is a single-player deckbuilding RPG: you choose a hero, build a custom deck, and fight turn-based battles while exploring a dangerous fantasy world. Each run is different, encouraging constant experimentation and adaptation 😏.

Step 2: Start a New Run

Step 3: Tap “New Run” from the main menu. Select a difficulty level and choose a hero class. Read each class description carefully to understand its strengths before confirming your selection.

Step 4: Build Your Starting Deck

Step 5: Before your first battle, review your starting deck and equipment. Learn what each card does—damage, defense, card draw, or status effects. A balanced deck helps prevent being overwhelmed early on 💥.

Step 6: Navigate the Map

Step 7: Move across the map by selecting nodes such as battles, events, shops, and rest areas. Choose your path based on current health, resources, and risk level—fight for rewards or detour to recover when needed.

Step 8: Play Cards in Combat

Step 9: During combat, you have limited energy each turn. Drag cards to attack, defend, or apply effects like burn or bleed. End your turn strategically and always consider enemy intent before committing your moves.

Step 10: Upgrade, Loot, and Synergize

Step 11: After battles, choose new cards, collect gold, and obtain relics. Visit shops to remove weak cards and purchase stronger ones. Upgrade key cards at special locations to build powerful synergies tailored to your class 💡.

Step 12: Adapt and Survive Bosses

Step 13: Monitor your HP carefully and use rest points or healing items before major fights. Adjust your deck when facing difficult bosses, survive across regions, defeat the final encounter, and unlock new cards and classes for future runs 🎯.
